Aircraft Incident at Rochester International Airport (RST)

UPDATE:  August 20, 2019 – 1:15 p.m.

No injuries were reported from the aircraft incident on August 20th, 2019. The aircraft has been removed from the airfield. The airport and both runways are fully operational at this time.

Thank you to the emergency personnel who responded. This is the final update on this incident.

August 20, 2019 – 12:30 p.m.

ROCHESTER, MN. — At approximately noon on August 20th, 2019 a small general aviation aircraft incident occurred at Rochester International Airport (RST). There are no fatalities and those on board are being medically assessed.

Rochester Airport Fire Department, Rochester Fire Department and Gold Cross have responded. The secondary runway remains open and the airport is operational.

We cannot provide full details of the incident, because emergency personnel are currently assessing the situation. Our primary goals are to provide support to emergency personnel and to ensure safe and efficient continuation of service for our customers.
