Rochester International Airport features a covered drop-off and pick-up area with a dropped curb and designated disability loading areas for easy entry and exit. Please note that vehicles must remain attended at all times.
Disability parking is available for guests displaying a permit and wheelchairs are available at the terminal entrance and exit. Skycap services are available on request.
The main terminal is one consistent level covered with slip-resistant, low-pile, unpadded carpeting in all public areas except restrooms and stairs, which feature textured ceramic tile.
Two elevators are available for the second-floor gate areas and administrative offices.
Quiet rooms with adjacent private accessible, single-use restrooms are available to passengers upon request pre- and post-security.
Many RST Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees are trained as Passenger Support Specialists and will readily assist patients with special accommodations or alleviate concerns about the security screening process.
The Rochester International Airport (RST) has launched the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program to support customers with non-visible disabilities who may need extra support, patience, time and understanding during their travel journey.
This global program allows individuals to share voluntarily that they have a condition or chronic illness not immediately obvious to others by wearing a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard. RST employees have been trained by the Sunflower global organization to recognize the visual cue and provide the best possible support to passengers with non-visible disabilities.
The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program continues to advance RST’s mission of providing exceptional, Customer-First service. The program helps create a positive traveling experience and serves to reduce anxieties that can be heightened when traveling.
RST makes Sunflower lanyards available at our service counter between the ground transportation desk and security.

We take the accessibility of Rochester International Airport very seriously. A Community Participation Program (CPP) was developed following the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 21.
Concerns or complaints about the accessibility of the airport and services should be submitted here. For questions, contact Deputy Director Kurt Claussen at 507.361.3901 or rst@flyrst.com.
Rochester International Airport is a relatively small airport that is easy to navigate. Most of our visitors find it easy to locate their gate and the various amenities at the airport.
Effortlessly hop from landing to ride with instant access to convenient taxi or rideshare services directly from the airport gates.
There are several ground transportation operators serving RST. Visit the ground transportation desks upon arrival for taxi, shuttle, and private sedan services.
Rideshare service providers such as Lyft and Uber also operate at RST. Signage in the Main Terminal indicates the designated pick-up area.
