Rochester, MN (May 22, 2019) – Rochester International Airport (RST) will host a Master Plan public information meeting Wednesday May 22, 2019. Airport management and the Master Plan team will share long-term development concepts related to the terminal, airfield, cargo area, and other airport support areas to address needed facility improvements at RST.
The Master Plan serves as a roadmap for the Airport’s future development. The purpose is to prepare a detailed plan for needed future facilities and improvements to existing facilities to accommodate anticipated aviation demands over the next 20 years. A master plan also includes a financial plan to support the implementation of the resulting long-term capital improvement program.
“It’s incredibly important to take a thoughtful look at how the airport is serving the growing needs of our region” said John Reed, RST’s executive director. “We are interested in hearing feedback from the community at this meeting.”
The open-house style meeting will take place on May 22nd, 2019 at the Government Center, Room 104 from 5:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m. A brief presentation will be given at 5:15 p.m. and again at 6:15 p.m. Representatives from the Airport and consultant team will be available to answer questions and engage in one-on-one discussions.
